The sharp architectural lines of the Second Wind Side Table provide a perfect setting for the worn and rugged fishing boat wood. The colors of the tabletop are echoed in the shelf below, providing a double hit of beauty and double the surface area for storage.
Our reclaimed wood furniture begins life on the oceans of Southeast Asia, in the hardy fishing boats that sail their waters. We find the vessels with the most interesting paint colors and bring them to our workshops. There the wood is handcut and refashioned into sustainable furniture pieces like the Second Wind Side Table, as stylish as it is eco-friendly.
The simple yet compelling design of this table means that it can work in almost any room. Place it between two plush chairs as a focal point in your conversation area. Wake up to its cheerful color when you use it as your bedside table. Put one in the bathroom to hold a stack of fresh towels (don’t worry about splashes — the wood is water-resistant).
The Second Wind Side Table is also at home in an outdoor setting. The marine-grade teak is naturally durable and further protected by an organic water-based sealant. The entire piece is solid wood construction and needs no assembly. If you need seating as well, you’ll find this white-framed style in many of our other outdoor pieces, such as the Even Keel Dining Chair.
